Shino Teapot

This creamy shino teapot glazed was handmade by me.
I started out with a round pot on the wheel, then made a lid and a spout. They were all trimmed at the leather hard stage, to make a lid with a perfect fit. The spout was carefully attached around the pierced holes and a pulled handle was attached to the pot
It has been glazed with Gustin Shino and fired in a soda kiln
It is a functional pot and can be used to pour tea and holds about 18 fl oz of liquid.
My glazes are all food safe and the teapot is dishwasher and microwave friendly.
Little imperfections are a part of handmade pottery and add character to the piece.
