Shino & Blue Ash Teapot

I made this teapot with porcelain on the potter's wheel.
Teapots are always a challenge for me since the have so many parts.
The spout has to look right, the lid has to fit perfectly and the handle
has to be comfortable to hold and pour! I think this teapot has it all and it is
also functional and pours well!
I decorated it with a blue glaze on the top half and a cream glaze on the bottom half and I love the way the blue glaze has flowed down to overlap the glaze on the bottom.
I fired this teapot in a soda kiln.

It holds about 16 fl oz of liquid and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
