Carved Strontium Mug

This olive green and brown mugs was made on the potter's wheel by me. They began their journey as a ball of clay, thrown and shaped on the wheel. I trimmed it and attached a pulled handle to it. This mug was carved into at the leather hard stage and I glazed it with a strontium green glaze overlapping an ash glaze on the bottom of the mug. The inside is lined with a white glaze.
The mug was fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln.
This mug holds about 12 fluid ounces of liquid and is about 3 3/4" tall and 3" wide.
This mug is microwave and dishwasher safe.
