Blue Rimmed Soda Vase

This beautiful pyramid shaped vase is made with porcelain on the potter's wheel. This piece was thrown, altered, trimmed and fired in a soda fired kiln. I glazed this piece with a couple of different glazes, layering one on top of another in some places.
The firing in the soda kiln has resulted in some juicy drips and a settlement of soda ash.
This jar would be a great accent in any room, on a mantle a centerpiece on a table. It can also hold a bunch of fresh flowers!
The piece is 8" tall and 4.5" wide and is dishwasher safe.
Slight imperfections are a part of handmade pottery and add character to the piece.
I do my best to represent the color of each piece as accurately as possible.
